Beta Notice and Software License
This page has two parts. Part 1 is the notice shown when you install GreekSentry. Part 2 is the license that lets you use it. Installing or launching the beta, or confirming the beta acknowledgement inside the app, means you accept both.
Part 1 — Beta Notice and Acknowledgement
GreekSentry Beta is pre-release software provided for evaluation and feedback.
GreekSentry is an informational options-risk monitoring and stress-testing tool. It is not a broker, investment adviser, financial adviser, or trading system. It does not provide buy, sell, hold, exercise, or adjustment recommendations and it does not guarantee any market, pricing, Greek, risk, profit, loss, or scenario result.
Broker data, market data, calculated Greeks, theoretical prices, stress tests, alerts, and other displayed information may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. Always verify material account and position information directly with your broker before making a trading decision.
The beta may contain defects, may change without notice, and may stop working. Do not rely on GreekSentry as the sole control for trading risk, account supervision, or loss prevention.
Broker credentials and OAuth secrets are intended to remain local to the user's computer and are stored through the operating-system credential store where supported. Optional notification integrations may transmit configured alert information to the selected third-party service.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. USE OF THE BETA IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Use of the beta is governed by the GreekSentry Beta Software License at greeksentry.com/beta-notice.
By continuing with installation or launching the beta, you acknowledge that you understand the pre-release nature and limitations described above.
Part 2 — Beta Software License
This license is an agreement between you and Greek Sentry LLC ("we"). If you do not agree to it, do not install or use GreekSentry.
1. What you may do
While the beta runs, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install GreekSentry on computers you own or control and to use it to monitor brokerage accounts that you own or are authorized to access, for personal, non-commercial purposes.
2. What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent, publish or redistribute GreekSentry, its installers or your beta access.
- Use it to provide paid or commercial services to other people.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify it, except where the law allows this despite this restriction.
- Remove or alter its notices, or work around any limits built into it.
3. Ownership
GreekSentry is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted in this license. GreekSentry includes third-party open-source components, which remain under their own licenses.
4. Your broker accounts
You are responsible for your broker accounts, for complying with your broker agreements, and for keeping your computer and credentials secure. GreekSentry is designed to read account, position and market data and does not place, change or cancel orders. A broker's authorization may grant broader permissions than GreekSentry uses. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any broker, and we are not responsible for a broker's systems, data or actions.
5. Feedback
If you send suggestions or bug reports, we may use them to improve GreekSentry without owing you anything. Please remove account numbers, credentials and personal financial details before sending screenshots or logs.
6. Updates and support
We may update, change or remove features at any time. We are not required to provide support, updates or a final release.
7. Ending the beta
We may suspend or end your beta access, or discontinue GreekSentry entirely, at any time and for any reason, without notice or liability. You may stop at any time by uninstalling it. When the beta ends or your access ends, this license ends, and you must stop using GreekSentry and delete it. Sections 3, 5 and 8 to 11 continue to apply after that.
8. No warranty
GREEKSENTRY IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT IT WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT ITS CALCULATIONS WILL BE CORRECT, OR THAT ALERTS WILL BE DELIVERED.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Greek Sentry LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY TRADING LOSSES, LOST PROFITS, OR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, GREEKSENTRY, INCLUDING LOSSES CAUSED BY SOFTWARE ERRORS, INCORRECT OR DELAYED CALCULATIONS, MISSED OR LATE ALERTS, OR INTERRUPTED BROKER OR MARKET DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO GREEKSENTRY, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT, IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties or liabilities to be excluded or limited. In those places, the exclusions and limits above apply only to the extent the law allows.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greek Sentry LLC and its owners from any claims, losses, damages and reasonable legal fees arising from your trading decisions, your misuse of GreekSentry, or your violation of this license.
11. General
This license is governed by the laws of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. It, together with Part 1 and the Privacy Policy, is the whole agreement about GreekSentry, and it controls over the website Terms of Use where they conflict. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update this license; the effective date shows when it last changed, and continuing to use GreekSentry after a change means you accept it. Questions: support@greeksentry.com.
